The Cedars residential care home in Altrincham continues to welcome students from Altrincham Boys Grammar School to assist with occupational therapy and physiotherapy. All concerned find this interaction between the generations to be mutually beneficial, and there is no shortage of volunteers.

A distinctive sound of the Mediterranean is currently being enjoyed at Pen-Y-Garth residential home in Brymbo, with residents being supported and stimulated through exercise sessions to the accompaniment some of Greek music. The sessions involve lots of arm and leg movements, whilst families often also join in with foot tapping and lots of clapping to the beats.
The ‘Fish & Chip’ jumpers lovingly created by residents and staff at The Cedars care home in Trafford will shortly be taken to Uganda by the lady who organises these charitable donations and who travels to the countryeach year for this purpose, and who has promised to return to The Cedars later on in the year to give a talk on her trip.

Thanks go to all the families who attended and were involved as well and who it is always a pleasure to welcome.
