We are the only care home in Wrexham to make it into this year’s elite group. At The Cedars Care Home near Altrincham, our in-house Dignity Champion, Susan, typically spends two afternoons a week with residents. One session is a 1 to 1 life profile, involving general reminiscence exercises around a variety of subject matters – life, family, career, pets, or other relevant topics. This is complimented by gentle physical exercise sessions including, amongst other things, throwing soft balls and generally keeping muscles going as much as possible, either indoors or, when the weather permits, in the confines of our beautiful south facing landscaped gardens.

The Cedars Care Home in Trafford, which has been renowned for providing high quality long term, respite care and day care for over 30 years, sees our visiting hairdresser, Martin, spending happy times in the salon with our residents every Monday and Friday. Cut-and-blows are mixed with singing and merriment, and the ladies especially are always eager to have their hair done and enjoy the whole experience.
