We are delighted to announce that following a recent routine unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission ( CQC ) – the body responsible for monitoring the standard of care in social and health care settings in England – The Cedars residential care home for the elderly in Bowdon near Altrincham in Trafford has been found to meet all 5 ‘Essential Standards of Quality and Safety’, the highest grading that any care home can reach, for the second year running.

The CQC’s inspector found that The Cedars care home meets all the required quality standards relating to respecting and involving people who use the service, the care and welfare of people who use the service, safeguarding people who use the service, the way that the service handles any concerns or complaints, and the way that the service meets the requirements in respect of its staff.

The CQC’s report is just the latest endorsement of the high quality of care and accommodation that The Cedars has provided to our residents in Trafford for almost 27 years.
