September saw a group of residents and staff from The Cedars care home in Trafford enjoy have a brilliant day out at the National Lottery-funded Hope View Sensory Farm, Astley. Research has shown that those living with dementia and Alzheimer’s benefit from interacting with animals, in this case Alpacas, Llamas, Donkeys, Miniature Shetlands, goats and an array of birds, all wandering free. The trip was representative of the holistic care provided at The Cedars, a quality balance of indoor outdoor activities and social trips.
