The stimulation and engagement of those residents who choose in a range of activities and events forms a valuable, and valued, part of the high quality care for the elderly, including dementia care, for which Pen-Y-Garth care home in Wrexham has become renowned for more than 20 years. November alone saw residents involved in a wide variety of events, including a thoroughly enjoyable Halloween Party, Bonfire Night festivities incorporating a music and light show, a trip to Welshpool which included lunch and photos with Santa, and our very own Italian-themed ‘Bake Off’, where residents created their own pizzas and danced to Italian music.
