Refurbishment well underway

The refurbishment project for The Cedars care home in Bowdon is now well advanced and will soon be fully completed using the expert skills of our chosen interior designer who is using the best of modern materials to give The Cedars a top quality finish in a traditional Victorian setting.

Modern technology is complimenting these traditional design features with a ‘state of the art’ internal communication system enabling residents to communicate visually via SKYPE with their family members from their own rooms in private when they are unable to visit personally, a fully integrated room by room wireless ‘nurse call’ system, flat screen TV’s and a Wi-Fi sound system access music, SKY TV and the internet streaming of films and other broadband related media.

Feedback from our residents, families and other visitors to these latest developments has been everything which might have been expected and needs to be seen to be appreciated.

About the Author:

The Cedars care home is situated in the leafy suburban village of Bowdon in south Manchester. The home itself is a Victorian property built in the 1870′s and sympathetically converted by Caring UK throughout the 1980′s. The care home caters for 34 residents in mainly single room, en-suited accommodation and has a range of spacious communal facilities with large outdoor spaces and landscape designed gardens.

Pen-Y-Garth care home is situated in the rural village of Brymbo, just four miles from the North Wales town of Wrexham. A Georgian property set in 2 acres of landscaped grounds and with stunning panoramic views of the countryside, the home was originally converted to its role as a care home in 1985 and extended five years later with the addition of a purpose built EMI wing. Pen-Y-Garth now provides exceptional 24-hour residential and EMI residential care for up to 44 residents.
