Pen-Y-Garth care home is situated in the rural village of Brymbo, just four miles (8-10 minutes by car) from the North Wales town of Wrexham and twelve from the city of Chester (15-20 minutes by car).
A mid Victorian property set in 2 acres of landscaped grounds and with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the Welsh hills and the Cheshire plain. The house was originally converted to its role as a care home in 1985 and extended five years later with the addition of a purpose built EMI wing.
Pen-Y-Garth now provides exceptional 24-hour residential and EMI residential care for up to 44 residents in mainly single en-suited rooms, spread over two floors and serviced by passenger lifts.
Like its sister home – The Cedars in Bowdon, Altrincham – Pen-Y-Garth benefits from Caring UK’s continuous investment programme which maintains the period elegance and condition of the home whilst introducing the latest technology for the benefit of residents with a ‘state of the art’ internal communication system enabling residents to interact visually via SKYPE with their family members from their own rooms in private when families maybe unable to visit personally, flat screen TV’s and a Wi-Fi sound system allows access to music, SKY TV and the internet streaming of films and other broadband related media.
The care home is regulated by Care & Social Services Inspectorate Wales (The CSSIW).
